At first it has been designed for a special order of the Louis 1856 gourmet restaurant in Barcelona that was looking for an original bread basket with specific dimensions. It can also be used as a vegetable dish, or for salads.

Description

Handmade ceramic platter crafted in our French workshop. Milky-white enameled terracotta clay. Perfect for every day use, surprisingly light, extremely durable & dishwasher-safe.

Designed by Mathilde Carron-Astier de Villatte.

Crafting & Care

Made by hand with black terracotta clay, glazed to create a milky white finish. Slight variances in shape, size & color may occur, part of the inherent charm of the CARRON handmade process, every one of our ceramic is unique. More material & crafting informations here.

Although our ceramics can go in the dishwasher, we recommend gently hand washing as these are precious. Our ceramics can't go in the oven & microwave. More informations on care & aging of ceramics on this page.

The story behind

Dentelle

Lace, which literally means "little teeth", directly inspires this collection. On the one hand because lace, originally was reserved exclusively for male use and because, in this collection, lace is placed on a raw background, and thus makes the object a refined male must. On the other hand, the lightness of the lace is deposited like a veil on each piece, making it unique and feminine. The alliance of masculine and feminine, airy and earthiness, white and black, light and shadow make it a unique collection.
